Sergio Freire

Sergio Freire is a barrister at Victorian Bar since October 2012 and serves on the ASIC Insolvency Practitioner Registration and Disciplinary Committee as part of the Minister's Pool since March 2021. Additionally, Sergio is an ordinary member of the Executive Committee at CommBar until November 2024 and contributed as a casual marker for the ARITA advanced insolvency course at the University of Technology Sydney from April 2019 to November 2022. Prior experience includes a Senior Associate position at Ashurst Australia from 2002 to August 2012 and earlier roles as an Articled Clerk/Lawyer at Allens from 1998 to 2002. Sergio holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class I) from The University of Queensland, completed in 1997, and was recognized as Senior Dux at Gladstone State High School in 1992.
