Wei Ma

Wei Ma is an experienced analytical R&D scientist with over 17 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Wei is currently the Head of Analytical R&D at Asieris Pharmaceuticals, where they lead new drug R&D and manages CRO or CDMO activities. Prior to this, they were an Associate Director at Shanghai Fosun Shinotech Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, where they led the generic drug R&D analytical team. Wei also has previous experience as a Principal Scientist managing a 5 FTEs analytical CRO team at QIAGEN, Analytical Scientist at WuXi AppTec, and Analytical Scientist at Jiangsu AnGe Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for project initiation research, assay & impurity methods evaluation and optimization, dissolution profile development, excipient compatibility study, analytical validation, force degradation, stability study, and establishing specification according to USP, BP, ChP, JP, ICH guideline, etc.

Wei Ma earned their Bachelor of Pharmacology degree from Anhui University of Chinese Medicine in 2002. Wei then pursued a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology from 2007 to 2010.
