Mathias Schungel

Mathias Schungel has a diverse background in the field of technology and cybersecurity. Mathias has worked at various companies, gaining experience in different roles.

Mathias started their career in 2007 as a Werkstudent/Trainee Technik at Westcon Security - a Westcon Group company. Mathias worked there for three years, until 2010.

After that, Mathias joined Check Point Software Technologies GmbH in 2010. Mathias initially worked as a Security Engineer Major Accounts for eight years, until 2018. Mathias then transitioned into the role of Team Leader Security Consulting - Public and Enterprise Team until 2019.

In 2019, Mathias moved to Fortinet and worked as a System Engineer for four years, until 2023.

Currently, Mathias is working at Asimily as a Solution Engineer - Europe. Mathias joined the company in 2023. Asimily specializes in providing innovative solutions for Healthcare Delivery Organizations (HDO) to identify network assets, prioritize vulnerabilities, and simulate real-world attack paths for device compromise.

Throughout their career, Mathias has gained experience in security consulting, system engineering, and solution engineering.

Mathias Schungel attended the Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2010, where they pursued a degree in Informatik and obtained a Diplom.
