Ravi Kommajosyula's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Ravi is currently working at Asimov as a Senior Computational Scientist since July 2022. Previously, they worked at MathWorks as a Senior Software Engineer in the Simulink Simulation team from May 2022 to July 2022. Ravi also held the positions of Software Engineer in the same team from September 2021 to April 2022, and Engineer in the Engineering Development Group from September 2020 to September 2021.
Before joining MathWorks, Ravi worked at MIT Mechanical Engineering Communication Lab as a Communication Lab Fellow from April 2018 to September 2020. Ravi was responsible for developing a mechanistic model to simulate flow boiling heat transfer.
During their time at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), they served as a Graduate Research Assistant from October 2015 to September 2020. Ravi'sresearch focused on developing a mechanistic model for flow boiling heat transfer to facilitate the design of compact thermal systems with high heat transfer rates.
Ravi also gained valuable experience through internships at Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives in 2018, CERN in 2014, and Fortiss in 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at TU München from December 2013 to February 2014.
Earlier in their career, Ravi worked at Tata Motors as an Assistant Manager from August 2010 to May 2012. Ravi started their professional journey as a Trainee at Altair Engineering in July 2009, where they contributed to the development and customization of Hyperform software and developed a tool for estimating optimal blank-fit in sheet metal forming applications.
Ravi Kommajosyula completed their education in a chronological manner. Ravi first attended St. Joseph's English School in Kurnool from 2004 to 2006, but details about the degree and field of study are unknown for this period. Later, from 2006 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. After completing their undergraduate degree, Ravi continued their studies at the Technical University of Munich, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computational Science and Engineering from 2012 to 2015. Ravi then pursued further education at the Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering in 2013 and 2014, completing an Honours degree in Computational Science. Ravi's highest level of education is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computational Science, which they earned from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2015 and 2019.
