Emily Essex

Emily Essex has extensive experience in scientific publishing, currently serving as the Director of Scientific Publications at the American Society for Investigative Pathology since July 2008. Roles include managing the daily operations and strategic projects for The American Journal of Pathology and The Journal of Molecular Diagnostics, overseeing social media, editorial content, and communications with editorial boards. Previous positions at the same organization include Managing Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, and Editorial Assistant, focusing on manuscript peer review and special projects. Earlier, Emily held roles as a Production/Trade Show Assistant at Ou La La Jewelry and Lab Assistant at Orchid Cellmark, where responsibilities included laboratory supply management and quality control. Emily obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Salisbury University in 2002.
