Karen Otway (O'Brien) is an experienced professional in the fields of support services, mental health, and education. Currently serving as a Senior Support and Recovery Specialist at ICBC since January 2021, Karen also coordinates a low barrier housing program at ASK Wellness Society while managing a team of full-time and part-time staff. In addition to these roles, Karen has been a Case Manager with the Canadian Mental Health Association and a Lead Student Recruiter at Northern Lights College, where responsibilities include traveling and promoting education. As a Talk Show Host for the "It's My Thing" radio show, Karen focuses on uplifting individuals and showcasing their achievements. With extensive experience as a life skills trainer and in various leadership roles, Karen has consistently demonstrated a commitment to empowering others through coaching and support. Educational qualifications include a BA in Psychology from Thompson Rivers University and a Diploma in Human Services from Douglas College.
