Lio Slama has had a diverse career, beginning in 2011 as an Architect for 1100 Architect. In 2012, they were the Head Architect for the ILO (United Nations) renovation for GROUPE H Architecture & Ingénierie SA. In 2013, they worked as a Painter for Studio ARY. In 2014, they Co-founded ZAPrint. In 2016, they were an Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University in the City of New York. In 2017, they became the CEO & Founder of SquarePlan. In 2019, they were part of the Techstars TSNYC19 Batch. In 2020, they are the CEO & Co-Founder of AskNeo, building the #1 conversational payments platform for teams, backed by Techstars, Columbia Startup Lab, and executive directors at Goldman Sachs & BlackRock.
Lio Slama is currently enrolled in Y Combinator's Startup School program. Previously, they obtained a Master's Degree in Advanced Design from Columbia University in 2016, a Master's Degree in Architecture: Advanced Strategies and Practices from École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Lyon in 2010, and participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for Architecture and Urban Design in 2009.
