Kees Saarloos

Kees Saarloos is a legal professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as a Juridisch vrijwilliger at ASKV / Steunpunt Vluchtelingen since January 2021 and as a rechter plv at Rechtbank Midden-Nederland since April 2021, Kees has been a Counsel and Senior Associate at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek since February 2018, focusing on financial regulatory law, pensions, environmental law, and private international law. Kees previously held the position of Director Regulatory Affairs at LeasePlan Corporation N.V. from July 2017 to February 2018, overseeing the organization’s strategic agenda in financial regulatory law. Kees began a career in academia as a Junior Researcher at Maastricht University from September 2004 to March 2010, teaching various legal courses. Kees holds a PhD in Law from Maastricht University, a Master's in European Law School from Maastricht University, and a BA in French language and culture from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
