Debra Essen is an experienced ASL/English Interpreter with a diverse background in education and communication. Since 2011, Debra has worked as a contract interpreter for ASL Interpreting Services, serving Deaf and Hearing individuals in various settings including education, medical, business, and theater. From 2021 to 2023, Debra taught ASL at Hopkins Senior High School, focusing on collaboration and student success. Prior roles include remote communications at Stitch Fix, ASL interpreter and classroom support for Minnetonka Public Schools, and executive assistant to the CEO/President at INPROV, Ltd., where fundraising and marketing for non-profits were key responsibilities. Debra holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in American Sign Language from William Woods University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in American Sign Language from Tarrant County College.
