William Oates

William Oates has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. William currently works as a Payroll Specialist at ASM Global - Official since 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Security Advisor at an undisclosed company from 2021 to 2022.

From 2015 to 2019, William worked at San Diego Sportservice - Delaware North as a Human Resource Manager, where they oversaw the HR cycle for 1000 seasonal associates and up to 300 non-profit fundraisers. William provided HR guidance to 14 managers, conducted employee relations, and managed the weekly payroll process.

Before that, they served as an NPO Coordinator and Payroll Administrator, successfully recruiting and training up to 300 non-profit group members for various events. William also conducted non-profit and associate orientations and processed fundraising contribution payments.

William also has experience with Centerplate, where they worked as an NPO/Training Manager and as Manager of Associate Development and Talent from 2006 to 2015. William provided training for employees and non-profit fundraisers.

Earlier in their career, William worked as a Concession Manager at Delaware North Companies, Sportservice, as Director of Concession and Vending at Centerplate, as Assistant Manager/On Call Associate at Cost Plus World Market, as Sr. Assistant Store Manager and Training Manager at Strouds, the Linen Experts, as Team Leader and Training Leader at Mervyns, and as Mens Manager, Senior Department Manager, and Training Manager at The Broadway Department Store (Macy's).

William Oates obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from San Diego State University. This academic achievement was accomplished between 1981 and 1988. Later, they attended the College of Extended Studies at San Diego State University from 2013 to 2015, where they received a Human Resource Certification in the field of Human Resources Management and Services.
