Kalay Seranthian

Kalay Seranthian, Ph.D., is a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Atomic Layer Deposition at ASM since March 2023. Previously, Kalay worked as a Modeling and Simulation Engineer in a Whirlpool Corporation partnership with Cornell University, where a predictive mathematical framework for multimode heat transfer in cooking ovens was developed, significantly reducing design cycle time. As a Senior Simulation Engineer at Procter & Gamble, critical parameters in conveyor system stability for Tide bottles were identified, leading to cost reductions, alongside simulation-based design enhancements in Tide pod packaging. Kalay's experience also includes designing injection molding machines as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in R&D at Toshiba. Kalay holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Mechanical/Biological Engineering and Biological Engineering from Cornell University, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
