Tony Chiang

Tony Chiang is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate development and technology leadership. Currently serving as Corporate Vice President of Corporate Development at ASM since January 2023, Tony previously held significant roles at Applied Materials from 2018 to 2023, including VP/CTO of the Applied AI and New Markets and Alliances groups. Tony was the Chief Technology Officer at Intermolecular from 2005 to 2018, contributing to the company's founding and successful IPO. Prior to that, Tony led ALD Strategic Technology at Novellus Systems and founded Angstron Systems, a startup focused on atomic layer deposition equipment. Tony has also held positions at Applied Materials in technology management and as a process engineer at IBM. With a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in the same field from Cornell University, Tony brings a strong academic and professional background to the semiconductor industry.
