Victor Wang is a Senior Process Engineer I at ASM, specializing in the development and troubleshooting of metal atomic layer deposition (ALD) processes since November 2023. Prior to this role, Victor served as a Graduate Research Assistant at UC San Diego from January 2018 to July 2024, where work focused on modifying and maintaining an ALD tool with in-situ XPS capabilities, as well as utilizing ex-situ characterization techniques like AFM, XRD, and XRR. Victor also undertook projects involving high-k oxide ALD recipes for SiGe substrates and held the position of Research Scholar at Semiconductor Research Corporation during the same period. Earlier experiences include working as a Math Tutor, Student Ambassador, and Electrical Technician at Walla Walla University, and a Summer Research Intern at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, where Victor contributed to the development of portable biosensors. Victor holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from UC San Diego, along with a Master’s in Applied Physics and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Walla Walla University.
