Zhizhong Chen

Zhizhong Chen is a Senior Process Engineer II at ASM, where responsibilities include epitaxy process research and development to enhance functionality, achieve tool-to-tool matching, and reduce costs under tight timelines since July 2021. Previously, Zhizhong served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department from September 2020 to June 2021, focusing on atomic layer deposition and the growth of novel p-type chiral oxides under the mentorship of Peide Ye. Zhizhong's academic background includes a PhD in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2015-2020) and a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2011-2015). Additional research experience includes work as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, specializing in the vapor growth and optoelectronics of halide/oxide semiconductors.
