Andrea Piazza

Andrea Piazza is a highly experienced Consulting Engineer at Avio Aero since July 2017, specializing in Mechanical Systems within the Chief Engineering Office. Andrea has provided senior expertise in project design and development, driving technology plans and mentoring colleagues. Previous roles include Principal Engineer, Technical Leader at GE Aviation, and various managerial positions at Centro Ricerche FIAT, where responsibilities ranged from technology roadmapping for gears and bearings to managing the Transmission & Hybrid Design departments. Andrea actively represents Italy in ISO technical commissions and serves on the editorial board of "Organi di Trasmissione." Additionally, Andrea has contributed as a reviewer for the Journal of Mechanical Design and has teaching experience at Politecnico di Torino and ASSIOT. Andrea holds a Laurea in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and completed an Executive Training Program with Challenge Network.
