Damian Vogt

Damian Vogt is a Professor and Director of the Institute of Thermal Turbomachinery and Machinery Laboratory at the University of Stuttgart, with a focus on research and education in thermal turbomachinery since August 2013. Vogt has held various significant roles, including Member-at-Large of the TEC Sector Council at ASME, Executive Board Member of the European Turbomachinery Society, and Chair of the Executive Committee of the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute. Notably, Vogt served as Conference Chair for the ASME Turbo Expo 2018 and has contributed to academic institutions such as KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where Vogt held positions as Associated Professor and Affiliated Professor, and as Programme Director for the Erasmus Mundus THRUST Programme. Academic credentials include a PhD in Turbomachinery Aeroelasticity from KTH and a Dipl Ing in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich. Additionally, Vogt has research experience at Duke University and ETH Zurich, specializing in turbomachinery aeroelasticity and inverse design of centrifugal compressors.
