Mair Demarco

Mair DeMarco is a seasoned professional in learning experience and instructional design, currently serving as the Director of Learning Experience & Excellence at ASME since November 2018. In this role, Mair oversees the entire development lifecycle of educational programs and solutions, utilizing expertise in learning science and educational technology to position ASME as a leader in professional learning for engineering professionals. Previously, Mair held key positions such as Manager of Education at MakerBot, where the MakerBot Certification program was established, and Director of Faculty & Staff Development at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, overseeing digital literacy training and video distribution systems. Mair's earlier role as Technology & Communications Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater New York involved managing promotional materials and a Computer Learning Center. Mair holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Communication Arts and a Master’s in Instructional Technology, both from New York Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from St. John's University.
