Mark Palmer

Mark Palmer, M.D., Ph.D., is an experienced Research Director and Technical Fellow with a robust background in the medical device industry, specializing in biomechanics, biotechnology, and computational modeling. Mark graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, alongside multiple master's degrees from the same institution. Currently, Mark serves as Global CTO for Healthcare at Ansys, leading initiatives to apply advanced computational technologies in healthcare, while also collaborating with various operational and academic units across the Medtronic Enterprise. Mark's past roles include serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan and a Research Director at Medtronic, where they managed global modeling and simulation projects.
