Bay van Tran

Bay van Tran is an experienced Application Engineer at ASML, a position held since 2018. Prior to this role, Bay served as an Assistant Researcher at the University of Amsterdam from 2010 to 2014, where research focused on semiconducting and topological insulating materials, utilizing vacuum technology and photoemission spectroscopy. Following this, Bay worked at the University of Groningen from 2014 to 2018 as a Materials Scientist, leading research projects on the chemical and physical properties of thin films and metal-organic frameworks, while also developing expertise in scanning probe microscopy and surface analysis equipment. Bay holds a PhD in Applied Physics, Materials Science from the University of Amsterdam and a Master's degree in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the Institute of Physics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
