Axel Castellanos

Axel Castellanos is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over two decades in the automotive safety industry. Currently serving as Lead Applications Engineer at Autoliv since December 2016, Axel leads the development and design of airbags and steering wheels, acting as the primary technical liaison between project managers and customers. Previous roles include Supplier Quality management at Key Safety Systems, Quality Manager at Hyundai MOBIS, and various engineering positions at Takata, where Axel managed quality labs and led product development for safety systems. Axel began the career as a Paint Application Superintendent and Production Supervisor at Trinity Industries and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila.
