Chih-Yu Jen is a highly experienced professional in the semiconductor and solar energy industries, currently serving as a Principal Product Performance Architect at ASML since March 2017, focused on developing inspection performance solutions. Prior roles include Application Development Manager and Senior Application Development Engineer for e-Beam inspection systems. At SunPower Corporation, Chih-Yu contributed significantly to the development of the world’s first commercial shingled PV module, increasing manufacturing yield to over 98% and qualifying new interconnect materials. Previous experience also includes positions as Senior R&D Engineer at Motech Industries, where process improvements in rear-side metallization enhanced cell efficiency, and Process Integration and Product Engineer at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), where Chih-Yu drove yield improvement for high-volume CMOS products. Chih-Yu holds a PhD in Microsystems Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Engineering Technology from Arizona State University.
