Iwan Akkermans is an experienced architect in optical metrology, currently serving at ASML since April 2009, where significant roles include project architect for mechatronic modules in EUV high NA scanners and leading sensor development projects within ASML Research. Prior to ASML, Iwan Akkermans offered consultancy services in RF and antenna design from 2009 to 2014 and conducted research as a Ph.D. researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2004 to 2009, focusing on electromagnetic modeling and 60-GHz antenna design. Additional research experience includes positions at IBM's Watson Research Center and TNO Defence, Security and Safety.
