Umesh Prasad Gomes

Umesh Prasad Gomes, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of nanotechnology and condensed matter physics, currently serving as a System Engineer and holding multiple roles at ASML since November 2017, including System Architect and Senior System Performance Engineer focused on EUV imaging and diagnostics. Prior experience includes a stint as a Research Associate at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, where Umesh was involved in epitaxy engineering and project management, as well as doctoral research at the National Enterprise for nanoScience and nanoTechnology, emphasizing the growth processes of semiconductor nanowires. Umesh has also contributed to epitasis engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and gained practical experience in molecular beam epitaxy at SVT Associates. Umesh’s educational background includes a Ph.D. from Scuola Normale Superiore and master's and bachelor's degrees in Electronics Science and Physics, respectively.
