Jonathan Berman has an extensive and diverse work experience. Jonathan is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Shell Foundation, a UK-registered charity that promotes access to renewable energy across Africa and Asia. Prior to this, they served as the Chair at AIP Investors, LLC, an investment partnership focused on the digital transformation of emerging markets. Jonathan also held the position of Director at Factor[e] Ventures, a venture builder firm dedicated to developing sustainable solutions in energy, agriculture, mobility, and waste for emerging and frontier markets.

Jonathan has been actively involved in promoting business opportunities in Africa. Jonathan served as a Director at Asoko Insight, a leading provider of corporate data and analytics across Africa. Additionally, they were a Director at Invest Africa US, a network of private equity and venture capital firms.

Jonathan has also ventured into entrepreneurship. Jonathan co-founded Now Health Technologies, Inc., which provides disease screening and wellness solutions to various communities. In addition, they have authored a book titled "Success in Africa" that explores the business landscape in the continent.

Jonathan's work experience extends beyond the business sector. Jonathan has contributed to the Harvard Business Review, writing on topics such as global leadership, innovation, and frontier markets. Earlier in their career, they were a Director and Partner at Dalberg Global Development Advisors, a strategic consulting firm focusing on frontier markets.

Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated their commitment to sustainable development, philanthropy, and creating positive change in emerging and frontier markets.

Jonathan Berman has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Yale University. Jonathan also holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, they attended the Ramaz School.
