Desirè Marulanda

Desirè Marulanda, MPA, currently serves as Client Operations Manager at ASPCA, where responsibilities include engaging in grassroots initiatives to reduce companion animal surrenders and enhance pet welfare in underserved New York City neighborhoods. Previous roles at ASPCA included Operations Manager for Field Operations and Animal Transport Community Medicine, Assistant Operations Manager, and Outreach Coordinator. Desirè has also worked as a Senior Veterinary Assistant Educator at the national level, conducting spay and neuter operations. Prior experience includes roles as a Staff Biologist at Merck, Assistant to Graduate Student at Pennsylvania State University, volunteer positions at the Wildlife Conservation Society, and veterinary assistant roles at Noah's Arc Pet Clinic and Red Gate Farms. Desirè holds a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from The Pennsylvania State University.
