Elise Gingrich

Senior Director, Shelter Medicine

Elise Gingrich is the Senior Director of Shelter Medicine at the ASPCA, where they focus on shelter medicine, disease prevention and control, disaster response, and population management. Previously, they served as the Supervising Veterinarian at Larimer Humane Society and the Medical Director at Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission. Elise completed a residency at Colorado State University and holds multiple advanced degrees, including a DVM from Iowa State University and two Master's degrees in Veterinary Sciences and Public Health from Colorado State University and the University of Iowa, respectively. They are a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Shelter Medicine and the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine.
