Maxwell Gregson

Maxwell Gregson currently serves as the Senior Director, Corporate Counsel at the ASPCA, providing primary legal support for direct animal care teams across multiple states, including North Carolina, New York, Florida, and California, with a focus on contract matters, risk mitigation, compliance, employment, and organizational policy. Prior to this role, Maxwell acted as the Director of Legal Counsel at ASPCA, supporting Shelter & Veterinary Services teams nationwide in areas such as employment and labor, contract management, policy advisement, and regulatory compliance. Maxwell began a legal career as an Associate Attorney at Lewis Brisbois, specializing in employer representation, regulation compliance, and workers' compensation, following a position as a Summer Associate Law Clerk where legal research and drafting were key responsibilities. Maxwell holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Language and Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with study abroad experience in Danish Language and Culture at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen.
