Miranda K. Workman

Director, Shelter Behavior Education & Outreach

Miranda K. Workman, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Shelter Behavior Education & Outreach at the ASPCA since December 2021. With extensive experience in animal behavior and anthrozoology, Workman has held various academic and leadership roles, including Teaching Faculty at Canisius College and Director of Behavior & Research at SPCA Serving Erie County. Previous positions include Owner/Behavior Specialist at Purrfect Paws Animal Behavior Center and Lead Trainer/Mentor with the Jackson Galaxy Foundation. Workman's educational background includes a PhD in Sociology from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Science in Anthrozoology from Canisius University.
