Ruth Allen is an experienced professional with a strong background in animal welfare, management, and training. Currently retired from Her Influence Academy, Ruth has held various director-level positions at the ASPCA since August 2008, including Director of Admissions and Matchmaking, Director of Animal Welfare, and Director of Shelter Services. Ruth was responsible for recruiting and retaining a staff of 32 union employees and established essential training protocols. Previously, Ruth served as Customer Care Center Manager at Animal Care & Control of NYC from February 2003 to August 2008, managing daily operations of two Care Center facilities and supervising a team of 45 union employees. Ruth holds an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Borough of Manhattan Community College, earned between 2010 and 2014.
