Zainab Bazzi

Scientist II, Cell Biology at Aspect Biosystems

Zainab Bazzi is a research scientist in cell biology at Aspect Biosystems. Zainab has also worked as a Mitacs Accelerate Industrial Postdoctoral Fellow at STEMCELL Technologies, a postdoctoral fellow in gastroenterology at The University of British Columbia, and a postdoctoral fellow and graduate research assistant at Western University and the University of Windsor, respectively. Her research has focused on understanding the role of thrombin activatable fibrinolysis inhibitor (TAFI) in breast cancer metastasis and angiogenesis.

Zainab Bazzi received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Windsor. Zainab also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the same school.

Zainab Bazzi works with Padmalosini Muthukumaran - Lead Research Scientist, Biomaterials, Christopher Dickman - Lead Research Scientist, and Saeid Tajbakhsh - Research Scientist, Polymer Chemistry. Their manager is Sam Wadsworth, Chief Scientific Officer.
