Gerry Simpson has a strong background in manufacturing and operations management. Gerry began their career at MIT Lincoln Laboratory as a Technician from 1986 to 1988. Gerry then joined Intel Corporation in 1998 and held various leadership roles, including Engineering Group Leader and Photolithography Group Leader, responsible for data analysis, yield analysis, and performance improvement. In 2007, Gerry joined Evergreen Solar, where they served as Director of Wafer Fabrication Engineering and later as Plant Manager/Director of Operations. Currently, they are the Director of Manufacturing/Plant Manager at Aspen Aerogels, overseeing production, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering for industrial insulation using Aerogel technology. Gerry's responsibilities include strategic planning, budget management, safety, quality, and performance of over 150 employees.
Gerry Simpson attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
