Richard Cooley

Manager, GNSS Engineering and Connected Products at Aspen Avionics

Richard Cooley has over 30 years of work experience in various engineering and management roles. Richard began their career at Bendix in 1981 as a Hardware Engineer and later worked at Raytheon, Pixel Computer/Xepix Inc, and Datacube in similar positions. In 1990, they joined AlliedSignal (King Radio) as a Hardware Engineer before moving to NewTek as a Senior Engineer - Project Manager in 1995. In 1996, they transitioned to Honeywell Aerospace, starting as a Senior Design Engineer and eventually becoming a GPS Technical Manager, where they managed multiple hardware projects and certified a GPS receiver for the Boeing 787. Cooley then joined Aspen Avionics in 2012, serving as a Project Manager/Engineer and later as the Manager of GNSS Engineering and Connected Products. In these roles, they were involved in product management, contract negotiations, and proposal generation for various avionics products. Cooley's work experience demonstrates a strong background in hardware engineering, project management, and product development in the aviation industry.

Richard Cooley attended The University of Kansas from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
