Julie Frank has extensive experience in design and development, particularly in the hospitality industry. Julie worked as the Vice President of Design and Development at Aspen Hospitality starting in February 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Vice President of Design at Highgate from February 2019 to September 2022. Julie also has experience as the founder of JCF Studio, providing architectural and interior design services, from February 2017 to February 2019.
Additionally, they worked as a Design Consultant at Starwood Capital Group from January 2018 to January 2019, and held various design roles at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from September 2010 to January 2017, including Global Director of Design for Le Meridien Hotels. Julie gained experience in restaurant projects as a Senior Project Designer at AvroKO from February 2010 to September 2010.
Earlier in their career, Julie worked as a Project Architect and Associate at Rockwell Group from August 2004 to February 2010, where they focused on Nobu restaurant projects. Julie also gained experience as a Junior Designer at Tihany Design from 2003 to 2004, a Junior Architect at Polshek Partnership from January 2002 to August 2003, and a Junior Architect at Rafael Viñoly Architects from March 2000 to January 2002.
Julie Frank completed a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand from 1993 to 1997. Julie then pursued a Graduate Degree in Architecture at the same institution from 1998 to 1999. Their field of study throughout their education was architecture.

Aspen Hospitality is a division of Aspen Skiing Company with a portfolio of owned and operated hotels and residences that currently consists of The Little Nell, Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel; and its affiliated Residences at The Little Nell, both of which are located at the base of Aspen Mountain; as well as the Limelight Hotel Aspen and Limelight Hotel Snowmass in Colorado; and the Limelight Hotel Ketchum near Sun Valley in Idaho. Currently in development are two additional Limelight Hotels in Mammoth, California, and Boulder, Colorado, slated to open in 2024 and 2025, respectively. The company also owns and operates the ASPENX Mountain Club and the Snowmass Mountain Club.
