Executive Chairman & Group CEO at Aspen Insurance

Mark Cloutier is the current Executive Chairman & Group CEO at Aspen Insurance. Prior to this, they were a Consultant at Resources Global Professionals from October 2010 to August 2011. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing a detailed project plan related to the filing of the S-1 document to the SEC, as well as developing and monitoring internal controls related to the SEC filing. Mark also researched and completed footnotes to the document for the SEC filing, and completed ad-hoc accounting work including complex reconciliations for the client.

Before joining Resources Global Professionals, Mark Cloutier was CFO and EVP at Penn Treaty Network America from August 2002 to October 2009. In this role, they were promoted to CFO in 2004 and was a member of the Executive Committee, directing a $300 million insurance company. Mark was responsible for financial operations, business intelligence, communication with the board of directors, managing relationships with ratings agencies, managing relationships with government agencies and regulatory bodies, investor relations and management of the finance, accounting, IT and facilities departments. Additionally, they oversaw internal and consulting actuaries in establishing reserves and setting prices for new products, as well as tax consultants in dealing with many complex corporate tax issues, including FAS 109 and SAP 10 accounting issues.

Mark Cloutier is a certified public accountant who received their BS in accounting from Temple University.
