Alan Fletcher is a distinguished music educator and administrator with extensive experience in leadership roles at prominent institutions. Currently serving as President of the Aspen Music Festival and School since 2006, Alan Fletcher previously held the position of Head of the School of Music at Carnegie Mellon University from 2001 to 2006 and was Provost at the New England Conservatory from 1995 to 2000. Alan Fletcher earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition from The Juilliard School between 1978 and 1983 and obtained an AB in Music from Princeton University from 1974 to 1978.
