Mark Yancich

Mark Yancich has had a distinguished career in music, serving as Timpanist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra since 1981 and as a Timpani and Percussion Instructor at Emory University since 1989, where Mark Yancich leads the percussion department and hosts the annual Mark Yancich Timpani Class. As the Owner and Publisher at Wind Music/TAP Publications since 1985, Mark Yancich produces a variety of music publications and recordings for various instruments, including notable works by Milan Yancich and Philip Farkas. Additionally, Mark Yancich has been part of the percussion faculty at the Aspen Music Festival and School since 2012 and has previous experience with the Filarmonica de Caracas and Sinfonica do Maracaibo. Mark Yancich holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Timpani and Percussion, with a minor in music education, from the Cleveland Institute of Music, completed between 1974 and 1978.
