As a founder of Property Point and a former President of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shawn has a strong background in promoting business growth and development in various roles. Additionally, Shawn has contributed to educational institutions as a guest lecturer at Thunderbird School of Global Management and faculty at 180° Academy, while also holding managerial positions in enterprise development and customer management outsourcing. Shawn's academic credentials include degrees from renowned institutions such as the University of Cape Town, University of Oxford, and Harvard Business School, highlighting a commitment to continuous learning and leadership in innovation and strategy.

The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs —ANDE, founded in 2009 — is a pioneering member network of organizations focused on supporting and strengthening small and growing business ecosystems and working to end poverty and promote prosperity through entrepreneurship in developing economies.
