Silvia Michelazzi

Silvia Michelazzi started their work experience in 2008 as a Licensing Intern at the University of California San Diego's Office of Technology Transfer and IP Services (TechTIPS). In 2010, they became a Technology Transfer Agent, working on strategic research alliances. From 2010 to 2013, they served as a Senior Technology Transfer Agent. In 2013, Silvia transitioned to the role of Contract Manager for R&D Alliance Design & Management, where they stayed until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Manager, responsible for contract management for external activities in San Diego and Boston Research. In 2018, Silvia became the Associate Director and Head of Contracts & Collaborations at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, leading a team of five members located in San Diego, Boston, and Oxford, UK. In 2020, they took on the role of Associate Director of Business Development at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Currently, Silvia works as the Director of Business Development at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc. starting in 2023.

Silvia Michelazzi's education history is as follows:

From 1996 to 2002, they attended the Università degli Studi di Trieste, where they earned a Laurea degree in Pharmacy.

In 2000 and 2001, Silvia participated in an Erasmus program at the University of Vienna, focusing on Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Following that, they pursued their academic career at the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, Italy, from 2003 to 2007. Silvia obtained a Ph.D. in Neuroscience during this time.

In 2008 to 2010, Silvia studied at the University of Phoenix, where they completed their MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, specializing in General Management.

In 2022, they enrolled in a Negotiation Mastery program at Harvard Business School Online.

In the same year, Silvia also started studying for a CORe (Credential of Readiness) at Harvard Business School Online. The CORe program covers Business Analytics, Economics for Managers, and Financial Accounting.
