Digital Production Specialist at Aspen Publishing

Noor Shahzad has a diverse work experience in various roles. Noor started their career as a Teaching Assistant at 826 Boston in 2019, where they managed supplies, coordinated office spaces, and maintained inventory. Noor then became an Operations Assistant, facilitating the closure of the academic year, editing company documents, and drafting agendas.

In 2020, Noor worked as a Graduate Teaching Fellow (Adjunct Professor) at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Here, they taught undergraduate courses in Creative Writing, developed a syllabus and curriculum, and introduced students to the writing workshop.

Moving on, in 2021, Noor joined Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory US as an Editorial Assistant. Noor'sresponsibilities included invoice tracking, preparing check requests, and coordinating activities related to scheduling New Product Proposal meetings.

Currently, Noor is employed at Aspen Publishing as a Digital Production Specialist. Noor has expertise in the Giraffe design tagging system and has mapped over thirty projects with XML design codes for digital production and ebook conversion. Noor has also implemented a new process for Copyright registration and identified and closed gaps of unregistered/backlist titles.

Throughout their career, Noor has showcased strong organizational, communication, and teaching skills, making their a valuable asset in the publishing industry.

Noor Shahzad completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Salisbury University from 2013 to 2018. They then pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies at UMass Boston from 2019 to 2022.
