Sherri Meek, PMP

Sherri Meek, PMP has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sherri started their career in 1999 as a Quality Assurance Manager at Translations.com, where they implemented quality assurance processes and managed a large database of freelancers. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Freelance Translator and Proofreader, translating documents from German and French into English and copy editing textbooks in science, math, and social studies.

In 2004, Sherri joined EdisonLearning as a Director of Content Production, where they planned budgets, schedules, and workflow for various educational materials and managed key partnerships with production and development vendors. Sherri also created content and audio files for online games and oversaw the company's in-house style manual.

From 2011 to 2018, they worked as an eBook/ePlatform Product Manager at Wolters Kluwer Law & Business, where they were responsible for managing and overseeing the development and implementation of digital products.

In 2018, Sherri joined Aspen Publishing as an Associate Director of Digital Content, focusing on strategy, innovation, and the execution of new digital content. Sherri also played a pivotal role in scaling up digital production efforts and implementing XML, metadata, and process improvements. In January 2021, they were promoted to Senior Digital Content Manager, further expanding their responsibilities in digital content management.

Sherri Meek, PMP, obtained their MA in Translation Studies from the University of Ottawa, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their BA in German and French at Mount Allison University, attending from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Sherri has obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills. Sherri achieved the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2015. Furthermore, they obtained certifications related to UX Foundations: Accessibility and EPUB Accessibility Using InDesign from LinkedIn in July 2020 and April 2020 respectively.
