Carolien de Graaf

Carolien de Graaf has a diverse work experience. Carolien started their career as a Management Assistant at Citi in 2001. Carolien then moved on to work at Shell Downstream in various roles, including Global Finance Manager and Manager of Commercial Finance and M&A. In 2016, they joined Shell Pensioenbureau Nederland B.V. as a Finance Manager. Carolien later served as an External Member on the Audit and Risk Committee at Ahold Delhaize Pensioen. In 2018, they worked as a Ski Instructor at Nova Skischule Lenzerheide. In 2020, they became the CFO for Shell Ventures and joined NewMotion as a Non-Executive Director. In 2021, they also took on the role of Non-Executive Director at Asperitas.

Carolien de Graaf obtained their Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Amsterdam between 1996 and 2001. In 2005, they pursued Environmental Economics at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a year. In 2006, they completed project finance training at Euromoney. In 2021, Carolien obtained a degree in Co-active Coaching from SUAS - A Schouten & Nelissen Company. In 2022, they pursued ORSC (Organisational Relationship System Coaching) - fundamentals from SUAS - A Schouten & Nelissen Company and became a Foundational Practitioner at 6 Team Conditions. Carolien briefly attended the Institute of Directors (IoD) in 2023 to study the International Role of the Director and the Board. Additionally, Carolien attended Het Nieuwe Lyceum - Bilthoven for their secondary education from 1989 to 1995.
