Rutger de Haij has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Rutger currently holds the position of Interim CEO at Asperitas, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they were the Non Executive Director at Asperitas from October 2021 to January 2023.
From February 2022 to December 2022, Rutger served as the Managing Director Small-scale Infrastructure at EscherCloud. Rutger also held the position of Head of Sustainable Energy and Heat Solutions at EscherCloud from June 2021 to January 2022.

Rutger's career started at NAM BV Assen where they served as the Policy Development Advisor from September 2016 to May 2017 and Commercial Advisor from September 2015 to August 2016.
Rutger has also worked as an Associate at Rivean Capital from March 2015 to July 2015.
In addition, Rutger gained valuable experience through internships. Rutger worked as a Graduate Intern Wells R&D at Shell from May 2014 to January 2015. Rutger also served as a Finance Analyst Intern at Shell Technology Ventures from December 2013 to January 2015.
Rutger started their professional journey as an Analyst and Intern at Broadview Holding B.V. in 2013. Rutger worked as an Analyst from May 2013 to November 2013 and as an Intern from February 2013 to March 2013.
Rutger de Haij began their education in 2000 at Gymnasium Krimpenerwaardcollege, where they completed their pre-university education. In 2007, they enrolled at Delft University of Technology, where they pursued Civil Engineering and obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in 2012. Afterward, Rutger pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Offshore Engineering at Technische Universiteit Delft from 2012 to 2015. In 2011, they briefly studied Quantitative Finance at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam / Erasmus University Rotterdam, however, the degree attained in that period is unknown.
