Lynne Harris, APR, has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), where they are responsible for overseeing strategic marketing and communications activities. Prior to this role, Lynne worked as a Strategic Communications Consultant, providing support in areas such as crisis communications, brand management, and media relations. Lynne also served as the Vice President of Corporate Communications at HBI (Home Builders Institute), where they developed and executed comprehensive communications plans. Lynne has held various other roles in organizations such as the Consumer Specialty Products Association, SourceAmerica, SmithBucklin, and more, showcasing their expertise in areas such as internal and external communications, marketing, media relations, and publications. Their extensive experience and accomplishments demonstrate their ability to effectively communicate and promote organizations and their initiatives.
Lynne Harris, APR holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism from American University. Lynne later pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Public Communications from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Lynne has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include an Integrated Communications Certificate from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), completed in October 2019, a Crisis Communication certification from LinkedIn, completed in October 2016, and an Accreditation in Public Relations from the PRSA, obtained in 2003.
