Kathleen Atwood has had a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Kathleen began their career at Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) in 2014 as a Medical Coder, where they gained experience in coding and charge entry for various hospital service lines. During their time at WCHN, Kathleen worked with multiple systems including Cerner Powerchart, Athena, Eclipsys, and Ingenious Med IM Bills.

In 2017, Kathleen joined CooperGenomics as a Revenue Cycle Systems Support Analyst. In this role, they were responsible for building the XIFIN database for genetic test billing and training the team on its appropriate use. Kathleen also implemented various functionalities, such as building payors, price tables, and test codes. Kathleen worked closely with the sales team and management to implement price structure changes.

Currently, Kathleen is working at Aspira Women's Health, where they have held multiple roles since 2020. Kathleen started as an Analytics Manager of Revenue Cycle and later transitioned to the role of Lead Reimbursement and RCM. Currently, they are serving as the Revenue Cycle Manager.

Kathleen Atwood attended Ridley-Lowell Business & Technical Institute from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they studied Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder, but did not obtain a degree. In July 2014, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Professional Coder from the AAPC.
