Arete Shen

Arete Shen has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Arete is currently serving as the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) at Aspire Bakeries. Prior to this role, they worked as the Vice President of Accounting at Welbe Health, LLC from August 2020 to May 2022. Before that, they held the position of VP Controller and Treasurer at 99 Cents Only Stores from January 2016 to 2019. Arete also worked as the VP of Finance at Califia Farms from April 2015 to December 2015 and at Del Real Foods from January 2012 to March 2015. Other notable roles include Corporate Controller at Ready Pac Foods, Inc. from May 2008 to February 2012 and Corporate Controller at Robbins Brothers from 2005 to 2008. Prior to these positions, they worked as a Financial Consultant at Resources Global Professionals from 2003 to 2005, and as a Corporate Controller at Accuride International, Inc. from 1997 to 2002. Arete began their career as the Director of Corporate Planning at Ralphs Grocery Company in 1990.
