ShinYi Tan

ShinYi Tan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career as a Peer Advisor and Conference Assistant at Residential Life - University of Texas at Dallas in 2013. They then worked as a Biochemistry 2 Supplemental Instruction Leader at the Student Success Center in 2015. After that, they joined Yes And Games as an Art Director, Lead Graphic Designer, and Illustrator, contributing to the development of a social Roguelike RPG. In 2016, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Coding Dojo, assisting students in web development training. From 2017 to 2019, ShinYi served as a Senior Consultant (App Developer) at Saxony Partners, where they consolidated systems into a modern web application for improved financial processing. They then joined Dialexa as a Full Stack Web Developer Senior Associate until 2021. ShinYi has also worked as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer, creating digital products such as illustrations, logos, tattoos, and album covers for global clients. Currently, they are working as a Senior Software Engineer Consultant at Aspirent.

ShinYi Tan began their education in 2010 at the University of North Texas, where they pursued a degree that is unspecified. In 2012, they transferred to The University of Texas at Dallas and completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Molecular Biology in 2015. During this time, they also attended the UTeach Institute at the University of Texas at Dallas, though it is unclear whether they obtained a degree from this institution. In 2016, ShinYi Tan attended Coding Dojo - Dallas, where they pursued Full Stack Web Development and gained knowledge in Python, MEAN, and Ruby on Rails. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Learning Personal Branding, Managing Your Personal Investments, and Neil Blumenthal on Branding from LinkedIn in October 2017. Lastly, in May 2015, they obtained the Texas Grades 7-12 Composite Science Teacher Certification from the Texas Education Agency.
