Andrew Margenot

Scientific Advisor for Soil Carbon at Aspiring Universe

Andrew is a soil scientist specializing in soil biogeochemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Soils & Biogeochemistry at University of California Davis while working with the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in East Africa and Latin America. Andrew joined the faculty at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2017, where he leads a research program on soil and nutrient management across diverse agroecosystems, from the US Midwest to the global tropics. At HabiTerre, he provides expertise in soil science and nutrient cycling to help develop solutions to real-world challenges of natural resource sustainability.
