Byron Kersey

Byron Kersey has a strong background in IT project management and compliance. Byron currently serves as the System Director of IT PMO at Aspirus Health, starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of IT PMO at The Concentric3 Group, Inc. from March 2021 to October 2021. Byron also worked as a Director of IT PMO and Compliance at Patterson-UTI from January 2019 to November 2020, where they implemented a PMO and ensured IT-related projects were compliant with regulations.

Before that, Byron held various leadership roles at American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), including Director of the Office of the CIO from January 2016 to December 2018 and Director of PMO & QA from February 2012 to December 2015. During their time at ABS, they focused on improving project, program, and portfolio delivery through standardization and continuous improvement.

Byron also has experience as a Vice President/Principal at Concentric3 Strategic Solutions, where they specialized in program and project management engagements, including PMO setup and recovery. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager at American Bureau of Shipping, leading application development and support teams.

Earlier in their career, Byron worked as a Practice Director at Spherion Technology, overseeing technology services consulting for Fortune 500 clients, and as a Practice Manager at Oracle, leading sales, development, and support activities for the Custom Development Services group.

Byron Kersey holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. Byron also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, ITIL 4 Foundation from Simplilearn, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
