Laurie Fitzsimmons

Laurie Fitzsimmons, RHIT has a comprehensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Laurie started their career at Victory Medical Center in Stanley, WI in 1988, where they worked as a Health Information professional until 1991. In 1991, they joined Aspirus as a Coder and Cancer Registrar and served in that role until 2003. From 2003 to 2015, Laurie held the position of Director, Health Information at Aspirus. In 2015, they were promoted to System Director of Coding & Outpatient Clinical Documentation Improvement, responsible for managing operations and coding staff for the Aspirus system.

Laurie Fitzsimmons, RHIT, obtained their Associate's degree in Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 1988. Laurie also obtained the RHIT certification from AHIMA in the same year.
