Matt Heywood

Matthew Heywood is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Aspirus, a non-profit health system with over 14,000 employees and an annual budget of $3 billion, serving communities in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Upper Michigan since June 2013. Previously, Matthew served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at New Hanover Health Network, overseeing a health system with an $800 million budget and 5,000+ employees. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Tenet Healthcare-Delray Medical Center, Health Management Associates, and Deloitte Consulting, where strategic planning and operational improvements were primary focuses. Matthew holds an MBA in General Management from the University of Michigan and a BA in Government from Dartmouth College.
